Art From The Land is a commentary on six remarkable years of collaborative sculpture activity at the Sidney Nolan Trust. Over ten days the Trust’s sculpture programme is engaging visitors through a major exhibition, workshops, films, talks and practical sessions, to give a real flavour and insight into its work. The exhibition features a cross section of work by art students, tutors, resident artists and outreach groups. It spreads across the site, taking in the Tithe Barn Gallery and the courtyard, the Grain Barn and the banks of the River Hindwell.
Since 2008, the Trust has hosted collaborative residencies for international artists and musicians as well as providing creative opportunities for a diverse cross section of the public, many of whom have had little or no experience of art. The broad range of participants has included groups from the urban conurbation of the West Midlands to graduates from some of the leading art colleges in the UK and abroad. As part of the opening on 17th October, you are invited to assist with the installation of a site specific river sculpture on the River Hindwell by internationally renowned artist, Richard Harris.

Saturday 25 October from 11am: Open Day, Farm Walk, Taster Sessions
