Charlie Hurcombe Residency

Artist Charlie Hurcombe, through the kind support of PITT Projects, is working in the Trust's Grain Barn throughout the last two weeks of September 2013. Producing new sculpture utilising coppiced oak and ash from Rodd Wood, together with reclaimed manufactured materials such as plywood and MDF, Charlie will continue to explore existing concerns relating to the use of paint in sculpture and methods of assemblage and construction. In a departure from his current practice the residency will focus on carving as a method of creating forms and in turn reflect the physical and functional aspects of a rural working farm.
An exhibition of the work will take place at PITT Project Space in Worcester at a date to be confirmed.
Visitor dates in September 2013 (between 10.00am and 4.00pm):
Wednesday 18th to Friday 20th inclusive and Monday 23rd to Friday 27th inclusive.
If you wish to visit please telephone the Trust on 01544 260149 to confirm.
