Lithography Workshop

Tutor: Gini Wade   Venue: Grain Barn Workshop  10.00am-4.00pm

FULLY BOOKED - please phone or email to check or join the waiting list

The closest printmaking technique to drawing, lithography offers uniquely varied and beautiful mark-making.  Invented in 1798 it has been used by many artists, from Toulouse-Lautrec, Bonnard, Picasso, and currently Paula Rego and Jim Dine, to name a few. Traditionally artists have drawn or transferred their image onto a special type of limestone block before printing from it. These three days are aimed primarily at those with some experience who wish to develop their skills, progressing to using stone and printing in colour. Please do contact us to discuss your particular requirements.

Workshop fee: £40 per day strictly payable in advance . To book, send an email or phone 01544 260149. Places are limited and advance booking is essential. There is a small charge for materials used. Tea and coffee provided; bring a packed lunch. A list of what you need to bring will be sent with confirmation of booking.

Gini Wade completed a fine art MA in printmaking with a distinction.  She specialised in Lithography with Tamarind Master Printer Paul Croft at the School of Art, Aberystwyth. She teaches regularly at the Sidney Nolan Trust and elsewhere. Her prints have been exhibited worldwide.
