FULLY BOOKED - email us for information about potential further dates or to be put on our waiting list.

The closest printmaking technique to drawing, lithography offers uniquely varied and beautiful mark-making.  Invented in 1798 it has been used by many artists, from Toulouse-Lautrec, Bonnard, Picasso, and currently Paula Rego and Jim Dine, to name but a few.

On Day 1, workshop participants will have the choice of making an image on a traditional limestone stone block, ball-grained aluminium plate, or photolitho plate. They will print their images on Day 2.

The workshop is suitable both as an introduction to lithography, and those seeking to refresh or extend their litho skills. Some previous experience of printmaking is helpful.  There will be a small additional payment to cover materials, payable at the workshop. Tea and coffee are provided; please bring a packed lunch.

TO BOOK: send an email to or phone 01544 260149 to check availability.
