Special Techniques for Lithography

Thurs 15 & Fri 16 June 2017, 10am-4pm

Tutor: Gini Wade  Course fee: £90

The closest printmaking technique to drawing, lithography offers uniquely varied and beautiful mark-making.  Invented in 1798 it has been used by many artists, from Toulouse-Lautrec, Bonnard, Picasso, and currently Paula Rego and Jim Dine, to name but a few.

This workshop is designed for printmakers who already have at least a basic knowledge of lithography. Participants will be introduced to special techniques such as Photolithography, Maniere Noire & Lo Shu wash, which will extend their repertoire of mark-making.

There will be a small additional payment to cover materials, payable at the workshop. Tea and coffee are provided; please bring a packed lunch.
