Animal investigation

Trust Director Anthony Plant arranged for Elpida Hadzi-Vasileva to visit the local abattoir - one of very few operating in the UK. Elpida collected offal from sheep, cattle and pigs slaughtered during the visit returning with them to clean and use them as printing material with the help of print maker Michael Hancock.
It was fascinating to watch Elpida and Michael investigating the qualities of the offal, the resulting prints were incredibly serene and powerful.
